Thank The Troops...But Thank Their Families Too

Gift Card Donations for Military Families

Gift cards are probably the easiest way to donate and certainly the most inexpensive to mail.  They are great to use as gifts for older teenage children who wouldn't normally get the opportunity to purchase something fun for themselves.  But gift cards sent to parents are a big help as well because they can use them to shop for their children.

Two Ways to Donate Gift Cards

1) Through our 'Adopt a Family' program you can choose a family to sponsor and then send your gift cards directly to them.

2) You can send your gift cards to Thank Military Families.  Every year we save any gift cards sent directly to us and then mail them to families on our list who did not get adopted.  This way they are still able to have some gifts under the tree for their children.

Whether you choose to adopt a specific family and mail your gift cards directly to them or send gift cards to Thank Military Families, after the holidays you will get a thank you message from the family who received your donation.  So please include your mailing address with the gift cards if you would like to hear from the family who receives your gift!

Large chain stores like Walmart and Target make the best gift card donations for military families because they are available in most cities and offer good deals, reasonable prices and a wide variety of possible Christmas gifts for the kids.

Gift cards to national restaurant chains like McDonald's make great gifts as well.  These gift cards provide a fun outing for military families with young children that may otherwise not be affordable.
